Re: xp WON'T install correct driver

the old one was a dvb pinnacle (satelite) and the new and another one i tryed were veiwstat and local tv only. the problem i believe is that windows sees them as the old pinnacle dvb card.

Re: xp WON'T install correct driver

Insert the old card. Uninstall the entire Pinnacle application suite, uninstall the drivers for the device, and remove the device from device manager in control panel.

Reboot.

Shut down the machine install the new card. Reload the application suite and drivers which should be installed along with the software.

I've had issues with Pinnacle cards before. They can be a pain to install, much less swapping a newer model where an older one once resided.
