xp WON'T install correct driver[MOVED FROM WINDOWS]
I REPLACED my tv card with a new one and windows finds and sees it as the old card and will only install old drivers witch don't work. i've tried everything including changing pci slots another tv card and windows xp pro with only install the old drivers. thank you and please help before football. thanks again, john

the old one was a dvb pinnacle (satelite) and the new and another one i tryed were veiwstat and local tv only. the problem i believe is that windows sees them as the old pinnacle dvb card.

Insert the old card. Uninstall the entire Pinnacle application suite, uninstall the drivers for the device, and remove the device from device manager in control panel.
Reboot. Shut down the machine install the new card. Reload the application suite and drivers which should be installed along with the software. I've had issues with Pinnacle cards before. They can be a pain to install, much less swapping a newer model where an older one once resided. |
