Roll Eyes [SOLVED] Olympus FE340 Point and Shoot

I recently bought a new Olympus FE340 point and shoot camera and installed a 1Gig XT card. Although it takes beautiful pictures, when it comes to downloading it to the PC there's a problem. The camera correctly switches on as it is suppose to when connected to the PC and when the option of "PC" is selected it gives the message "one moment" and that is as far as it would go - remaining with "one moment". The PC itself would not recognize the camera and refers to "unknown USB device" for which the required drivers are not loaded. I have checked the net and the drivers on the PC are the latest available. I have tried several PC's and laptops with operating systems varying from XP Home, XP Professional, Apple Macbook - all the same problem. Where to now ?
