Nvidia 8800GTS Driver issue
Hello i have an unusual problem with my nVidia drivers.
When i attempt to install from the .exe from the nVidia website, after i restart i get the 'found new hardware' and nothing has changed. This even happens when i uninstall the drivers and use a driver cleaner. The only way i can get the driver to install and the ! to leave the device manager is by putting the CD in the tray, then using the windows wizard, and pointing it to the very file on the disk that holds the driver. After this there is no restart prompt and everything goes smoothly until i have to restart for another reason, at which point the driver uninstalls itself. Thank you in advance for your help. |
