DVD Burner drive opens & closes on its own
Hello--new to this forum! So I apologize if I'm in the wrong area. I have a LiteOn Burner (DVDRW SHW-160P6S) that I have used to burn CDs with no problem. I tried burning a DVD (used the computer supplied DVDLink software) and now the Burner drawer opens & closes on its own, inhibiting the ability to burn and read CDs and DVDs.
OS is Windows XP Any ideas what may be the problem??? Thanks! |

Hi
Welcome to TSF. Have you run a Virus/Malware scan? Have you uninstalled and reinstalled the driver? What is the make and model of the PC? I think you are going to have to replace the drive. The sensor may have been damaged inside your CD-Rom. Bill |
