COMPAQ Notebook CD/DVD driver won't work :(
I dont know how to get my cd/dvd drive to worrrrk! its really irritating because i need it urgently it says there is an error with the drive or the drive is missing. im not sure what this means! can someone please help me??

Hi,
Have you uninstalled the driver and reinstalled them? Go to the Device Manager>Expand the DVD/CD-Rom by clicking the + (it may have a yellow !)>Properties>Unistall Reboot Windows will automatically reinstall the drivers. If that fails do this: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929461 Hope this helps Bill |
