[SOLVED] Please help with Conexant HD Audio Driver

Hi.
I have a HP Pavilion dv6545eo and I degraded to XP, but now, whenever i try to install whatever audio driver of the Conexant HD audio driver, for my sound card, it either sais: "required hardware not found", or something like "could not install driver"...

It pissed me off, because I need my sound for my video editing and such. but have no sound, (other than the default windows error sound, which i get all the time, ARGH) and i've tried almost everything...

Please help me if you can.

Thanks - Corren Sanders -

Re: Please help with Conexant HD Audio Driver

Hi Coreen,
Browse through this link:

http://www.techsupportforum.com/hard...facturers.html

Get to the point where you install Net Framework 2.0 and follow the directions that point to the
UAA Driver install
Sound Driver
Modem Driver.

These drivers (except the UAA driver) have to be Manually installed.
Let me know how you make out.
Bill

Re: Please help with Conexant HD Audio Driver

Thanks for the help, but discovered a shortcut through the drivers... I just started the install of a vista driver, then windows messaged me with "new hardware found", then, without going further with the install, I went to the hardware list, and made it search for drivers itself, and found one which worked...

But thanks anyway..
