adapters and drivers

i got a new laptop so gave my old one away but before doing so i deleted my files but then she could not use it because when i tried to install aol for her it just says machine has no installed network adapters and the devise drivers may not be installed , can i fix this

Hi,
What is the Make and model of the laptop?
Also go into the Device Manager and post any errors (yellow !).
