HP N8460 Scanner problems
I was having some problems with my software, so as directed by the helpful and informative troubleshooting guide, I uninstalled all software/drivers etc and attempted to reinstall. Now every time I try to install it I get a 132 error and it aborts. How can I reinstall this software to get he scanner to work?

Re: HP N8460 Scanner problems
Hi
Have you tried the updated Drivers/Software (XP Drivers) http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport...5&swEnvOID=228 Have the scanner disconnected before you install the drivers. The first driver should be http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport...5&mode=4&idx=1 Hope this helps, Bill |

Re: HP N8460 Scanner problems
Yeah, the first driver is already installed, and when i download the updated drivers i get the same thing. "An error occured during the move data process- 132". i have heard that there can be some registry issues if the drivers have been unistalled . . . frustrating.

Re: HP N8460 Scanner problems
Have you disabled your Anti-virus protection and spyware protection?
Have you tried to install the drivers in Safe Mode Under Administrator? Are you sure ALL the software and drivers are removed in Add/Remove programs? Some other common issues that may also cause this error: http://kb.iu.edu/data/agng.html Bill |
