No Audio Output Device Is Installed
Hi There.
The Prob im having is that i dont have sound at all. The Volume icon has an X and says '' No Audio Output Device is Installed ''. Like Many in here i think its the Vista bug that Quits sound if you put the Cpu to sleep or something like that. Please Help me if you can... Thanks

and welcome to the ForumWhat are the details of your system? Brand/Model . . What sound card do you have? When you look in Device Manager, does the Sound card show as unknown?

This is what i got.
Manufacturer: Acer Model: Aspire X1200 Processor: Athlon (tm) Dual Core Processor 4050e 2.10 GHz Memory (RAM): 3.00 GB System type: 32-bit Operating System I dont know where to find the Sound Card. When i look in the device manager, It doesnt says Sound, Video And Game Controllers so its not there. |

What happend just prior to this? . . what software/software did you install/uninstall?
Have you looked for the sound card drivers on the Acer web support site?

Nothing Happened, it just stopped working, what i read somewhere is that if you put windows vista to sleep the audio stops working if you wake it. And where i look there is no Driver for my Acer Aspire X1200

That does not help, but you should be able to find the driver on the Acer support site

Hi Eggie,
Your right, Acer does not list the Audio driver for this. After a liitle research I found that your Aspire X1200 takes a Realtek HD Audio. Your driver is here: http://www.realtek.com.tw/downloads/...3&DownTypeID=3 Hope this helps. Bill |
