Re: Finding driver updates

and welcome to the Forum

You can go here, enter your Service Tag and find drivers for your Dell

http://support.dell.com/support/down...=us&l=en&s=gen

For the Comcast issue, call their support and have them run a quality check on your connection

if i click on "updates for a dell dimension 4550's" i get lots of useless drivers that i dont need
idk, i tried one of those driver update scanners (think its ********)
and showed 13 out of date drivers, yet no way of finding them

Re: Finding driver updates

What driver are you looking for?

If you enter your Service Tag, you will be offered just the drivers for your pc

Most of the drivers scanners are BS

Re: Finding driver updates

the only driver that comes up is sound blaster patch
i want to update processor software, cuz i know it can do better,
i know my chipset is way out of date too,
im running clean of viruses and spyware (for now)
but its running like a pentium 2, with a geforce 2 vid card, and my RAM doesnt seem to be putting out well, and my startup take literally 20 mins, 15 if i stop an svchost.exe that eats my CPU usage.
comp temp runs great, video actually seems ok, just mainly processing speed is not up to par with its capabilities

Re: Finding driver updates

The chipset driver is the processor software.

Is your network card an add-in? . . there are 13 drivers there for Network Adaptors that came on that model

Try this one: http://www.download.com/Realtek-RTL8...-10290359.html
