creating a custom driver, for a custom piece of hardware?
ok.. so i have this old mouse, the led broke on it.. and i dont have an extra one lying around to replace it, its a cheap mouse anyways, not worth the trouble. But.. i was thinking.. is there any way i can turn this into a custom game controller? ive always wanted foot toggles to jump/shoot in a few fps games. im pretty inventive, and i have plenty of extra parts and whatnot to get the actual hardware that i want..
but is there any way to use the circuit board in the mouse and just change the mouse buttons, and the scroll wheal into different commands, so that it doesent interfere with my new mouse? or would i have to actualy go in and change the chips and crap like that.. ive searched around on google, and havent found anything related to this edit: the led isnt dead, i can get it to light up with a low voltage button battery. all the fuses seem to be intact, all the buttons work on the mouse, and the sensor is also working, but the led just isnt lighting up for some reson. Im just doing this out of curiosity, because im bored. Soooo.. no hate @ me plz. Last edited by twistdshade; 10-18-2008 at 09:36 PM. |
