[SOLVED] Looking for a SoundCard driver.
Okay I need a soundcard driver for my PC,I lost it during the OS reinstall today and can't manage to get the right one... Why? When I download any of drivers for the manufacturer's soundcard I get windows security BLUE SCREEN where it writes that the sysound.sys is not valid and until I delete it from system 32/drivers/ in safe mode.
Some specs: Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 (build 2600) Processor: 1,90 gigahertz AMD Athlon XP 128 kilobyte primary memory cache 512 kilobyte secondary memory cache Motherboard/Main Circuit Board: Board: K7VT4A+ 1.0x BIOS: American Megatrends Inc. P1.30 07/19/2004 RAM: 512 Megabytes Installed Memory Slot '0' has 256 MB Slot '1' has 256 MB Drives: 120,05 Gigabytes Usable Hard Drive Capacity 112,24 Gigabytes Hard Drive Free Space LITE-ON COMBO LTC-48161H [CD-ROM drive] 3.5" format removeable media [Floppy drive] SAMSUNG SP1213N [Hard drive] (120,06 GB) -- drive 0 Display: RADEON 9600 SERIES [Display adapter] RADEON 9600 SERIES - Secondary [Display adapter] RTD LX961 [Monitor] (15,2"vis, s/n 0000000000321, kovas 2007) Multimedia: Standard Game Port Vinyl AC'97 Codec Combo Driver (WDM) Input: Standard 101/102-Key or Microsoft Natural PS/2 Keyboard PS/2 Compatible Mouse USB Root Hub (4x) I think that the bolded one is the driver's version but I am not sure. BIOS Won't help me at all. Still can't manage how to make my sound work.
Here's some problems I am experiencing: I can't install some of the windows security/hotfix updates. BIOS disabling and reenabling won't work. The machine.inf method is not working too. Tried to reinstall drivers but no luck. So stilll.. What can be solutions? ~Andryzz. |
