Re: Sound Problems/ Device Manager Problems
Did you try the Abit site:
http://www.uabit.com/index.php?optio..._name=IP35+Pro Last driver on the page. Extract the diver to a folder. It is under a winrar. (Zip) format and run setup exe. |

Re: Sound Problems/ Device Manager Problems
Hi,
Can you give me a Screenshot of the device manager with the + sign expanded under Sound? If you are reffering to the UAA driver that is still in yellow (PCI Device under System Devices) Try this driver: http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/SOU...on-Audio.shtml Install and reboot the computer and see if the sound works and the errors are gone from the device manager before proceeding farther. According to your Everest report you have XP Pro SP3 and not vista (as previously stated in your first post). The link I gave you (Abit) list all the drivers XP and Vista. http://www.uabit.com/index.php?optio..._name=IP35+Pro Be sure the UAA driver is installed and the PCI device (under System Devices error is gone from the device manager. If it is not, uninstall the PCI device>Reboot the PC and check to see if windows reinstalled the driver. The UAA driver must be installed prior to the audio driver. Go to add/remove programs and unistall the Realtek HD Audio driver. Download the Realtek Audio for XP! Turn off you Anti-Virus protection Extract the XP audio driver you download to a folder and run the setup exe. file. See if you have your sound back. If that does not work try a manual install of the driver. Right Click on the error in the device manager>update driver>Select no not at this time>Select advanced option>Select include this location in the search>Browse to the folder you extracted you Audio driver to.>Select OK. See if this will load the driver. My other concern is that this new install maybe corrupted some how. Installing vista drivers instead of XP for example. I also think that installing SP3 before you had all the drivers installed may also cause an issue. If this is the case you may have to do another reinstall, but lets see what happens first. Bill |
