DVD burner driver problem
Hi,
Yesterday my DVD burner stopped working. (Mad Dog MD-16x3DVD9-8x) The drive doesn't show up in My Computer, and I get the following message in the driver section of System Devices... Windows cannot initialize the device driver for this hardware. (Code 37) I tried replacing the drive with a new one. (LiteOn) I have the same problem. I essentially have no way to run a CD or DVD. I suspect the driver needs to be replaced but I don't know how to go about doing that. Thanks, Tom. |

[SOLVED] DVD burner driver problem
Since I had no CD drive, I had no way to use any disks.
I found out which drivers it was using and made a list. I went down to my wife's computer, copied the drivers, and emailed them to myself. I just copied them into system32/drivers and everything works just fine. Thanks
