Re: help installing drivers plz

You will not need ALL the drivers from Dell. The drivers posted are for all D600, but you need to choose the correct driver for your configuration.
What drivers do you need?
Here is the link for your drivers:
http://support.dell.com/support/down...g=en&TabIndex=
I need to know via your device manager on the drivers you are missing.
Can you post a screen shot of the Device manager?
Here is how:

Thanks,
Bill

Re: help installing drivers plz

Hi Deemon,

Did you install the chipset driver here:
http://support.dell.com/support/down...&fileid=149851
This should be installed first.

These are your network drivers.
Ethernet Controller:
http://support.dell.com/support/down...&fileid=176964

Wireless Lan True mobile 1400:
http://support.dell.com/support/down...&fileid=191429

Are you sure the Wlan is a True Mobile 1400 Dual Band (it does not state it is Dual Band) and not the Truemobile 1470 Dual Band?
Just in case this is the driver for the True Mobile 1470 Dual Band:
http://support.dell.com/support/down...&fileid=202138

You will need a PC that has internet access.
Download the drivers to a flash drive. If you do not have a flash drive then download the drivers to the desktop (of the working PC) and burn them to CD. Make a note of the EXE Files you download so you know which drivers are what.
Then install the drivers to your Dell D600 (via flash drive or CD) by selecting the appropriate EXE File and clicking on it.
Be sure to install the Microsoft Updates, Spyware and Anti-Virus Programs, once you have internet access.
Hope this helps.
Bill

Re: help installing drivers plz

What driver did you use for the wireless?
Do you have any errors in the Device Manager?
Is this modem wireless or do you have a wireless router connected?
Power off the laptop and the modem (disconnect the wireless router if you have one).
Connect the laptop (Hardwired) to the modem directly.
Power up the modem (wait for a few minutes).
Power up the laptop (wait a few minutes).
See if you have internet access.
Let me know
Thanks,
Bill
