Driver problems with new build.

I have an Asus rampage mobo, put in a HD4870 and rebooted as prompted after installing drivers. Upon reboot I get the no signal sign on the monitor and windows goes to the Vista log in screen but nothing on the display... Any ideas? Anyone experience something similair? FYI the rampage does not ahve onboard video I am actually running the PC through the card w/o drivers

Re: Driver problems with new build.

Maybe an answer! After much research I have found that the EDID in some MONITORS does not work with the new 4000 series cards causing the problem I experiencing. I am going to buy a new monitor tomorrow and will update based on my findings.

P.S Also getting a NON corrupted EDID from someone also seems to fix this problem however, I needed an excuse to get a 23" anyways ;)
