hi all first post and i could do with some help please
hi all, this is my first post so i'm not sure if i have put it in the right place if i have sorry,
i am having some trouble with my realtek wireless lan card i am not sure what the driver is but i knbow its the one i was using before i re-installed windows XP Pro on my machine the card is RTL8185 wireless pci but for some reason it keeps disconnecting itself from the net and when it does my pc freezes and sometimes goes to the blue screen i have downloaded and installed the newest version of the driver from realteks site but it still does the same thing does anyone know what causes this or how to stop it. i have tried disabling and enabling the card and setting it to "windows zero config" when i do this its ok for about 10 minutes and it plays up again. i did have it working fine in the machine before i re-installed XP and i have tried 3 different driver versions any ideas? ![]() thanks for reading J

Re: hi all first post and i could do with some help please
Hi, Jaycraft
What's the Manufacturer & Model of your System, or Motherboard? After you reinstalled XP, did you install the Chipset Drivers for the motherboard; these are always installed first? Have you made any changes to your BIOS Settings, apart from Boot from CD to install XP? |
