Re: presario F500 video drives V down to XP
Hi, Dragonkn
You'll need to give more details of your system for us to help. There are a lot of laptops in the Presario F500 Series! http://h20180.www2.hp.com/apps/Looku...=presario+f500 If you have the original Presario F500EA, then you need the GeForce Go 6100 VGA Driver.... http://drivers.softpedia.com/get/GRA...Go-15655.shtml |

Re: presario F500 video drives V down to XP
Hello
Download this free utilty........... http://www.majorgeeks.com/download4181.html It will hopefully give you the exact name of your Presario Model. Failing that, it should give the name of your Graphics Chipset and Motherboard Model. Post back here with the results. By your description in the message you sent me, it looks like you are going to have to uninstall ALL graphics/video drivers from Add & Remove Programs and uninstall all the flagged items in Device Manager, then restarting the comp in VGA Mode before reinstalling the correct drivers. Does this sound like your machine........... http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/d...os=228&lang=en These worth a try?........ http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s...1817059&dlc=es Just some extra info about downgrading..... http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/d...roduct=3441659 Last edited by Houndog777; 08-18-2008 at 07:56 PM. |
