[SOLVED] Ethernet Network Controller

Hello.

Under 'View Network Connections' in control panel, I seem to be missing my LAN connection. I am quite sure the problem is because I do not have a driver for my ethernet card, as 'Ethernet Network Controller' is listed in Device Manager with a (!) under 'Other Devices'.

My issue is, I have no idea what my 'Ethernet Network Controller' actually is, so I cannot find the appropriate drivers.

I have some information on it, but Google has yielded no real results for me, or none that I can work with.

The port in which I plug in my CAT5 cable, after I open my computer, is a small metal box attached to my motherboard which has the ID number "00E04D3AD665" on a sticker. My motherboard is labelled as NF615 Micro AM2 SE (VER: 6.0 in small letters under that).

In device manager, after clicking properties on my Ethernet Network Controller, then the dropdown menu in the Details tab, it gives me a bit of information. The only thing that didn't look like random numbers and letters to me in "Hardware IDs" and "Device Instance ID" was "NVNET_DEVO3EF".

Device Instance Id: {1A3EO9BE-1E45-494B-9174-D7385B45BBF5}\NVNET_DEVO3EF\4&E26f95B&0&00

Hardware Ids: {1a3e09be-1e45-494b-9174-d7385b45bbf5}\NVNET_DEVO3ef

The only other thing in the dropdown which had any info was the Power State Mappings, Power Compatability, and Current Power State.

Also, I've tried going into BIOS to check for it there, but I'm not sure what I'm supposed to be looking for. However, I think the problem is I simply don't have the drivers for it.

I'd really like to get the drivers for this thing if possible, so I can get my LAN back. Thanks.

My System

Re: Ethernet Network Controller

Hi, if you download and run this free program it will give you a system audit and identify your motherboard and components.....

Once we know what your motherboard/system is, finding drivers should be straightforward.

Re: Ethernet Network Controller

Update: Apparently my motherboard said 'NF61S Micro AM2 SE', not 'NF615 Micro AM2 SE'

Drivers were easy to find with that info.

Hah, I'm an idiot.
