Backstory:
I was playing Civ 4 this morning, and the screen started acting up, doing strange things with the display. I recieved an error message saying the display driver had recovered from an error, and I closed the window not thinking it would happen again since this is the first display problem I had on that laptop (I got it in spring 2007). I started playing the game again, but the sceen funked out, so I let the battery drain while wating for another display dirver recovery. The battery died, so I plugged it in, only to see a white, gray, and black vertical stripped screen even before my typical HP screen. I've removed the battery twice because that usually fixes the major startup problems with my computer, and attempted two more reboots since. The only reponse I can get on the computer is my touchpad lock turning on and off, and it still ejects CDs. I literally have never been this stuck before and can see no option to attempt a reboot where my screen works. I NEED YOUR HELP! Computer description: HP dv9000t (bought 2007) nvidia Geforce 7600 video driver Intel Centrino Duo processor Windows Vista (I think I got serivce pack 1 a few weeks back) again, PLEASE HELP! |
