driver problems on both my dvdrw/ cd drives
ok i have a DVDRW IDE1108 and a OEM CD-ROM F564E at same time i got a driver error yellow that message on both. tried updating driver on both and trouble shooting. no effect. Running XP
Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39) Any help appreciated BTW XP sp 3 updated last night and no i cant do a goback my drive for that was unhooked Last edited by darb2rad; 07-09-2008 at 07:54 PM. |

Follow the instructions on this webpage..... http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314060/ Despite the title, it also covers Error Code 39. Use the Guided Help if not familiar with using the Registry. |

FIXED:
Thanks Hounddog that was the cure downloaded the helper and it was fixed in mins. on futher research it was the VLC media player that started this. Much appreciated. |
