Help required - what driver do I need?
Hi, before the end of this post you will have probably worked out that I am not the most computer literate of people. Over the past few weeks my computer has been in a state of disrepair and along with a few people who gave advice we decided the best option was to do a complete reinstall of xp pro onto my system.
However I forgot to make a note of the drivers that I was using and have since left myself with a computer that doesn't make sounds (other than the odd beep). Nothing atleast from the speakers. The computer was custom built by a friend of mine in South Korea so I'm not sure what make motherboard is etc and dont have any serial numbers on my computer, inside or out that I can see. The information I have been able to require will follow shortly, basically I need to know what multimedia audio controller I need to install and if pooible if somebody could post a link to the page I can install it from. I did a search and it gave a little yellew mark stating I dont have one installed at all. Model - P4i65PE Chipset - Intel i865P/PE/G/1848P BIOS- Brand American Megatrends LTD version 1.10 processor - Intel celeron CPU - 2.60 Ghz SPD - Max bandwidth - PC3200 (200MHZ) Manufacturer - Samsung serial number - F3017EFF most of this information probably has nothing to do with my problem so I hope somebody can help, Kindest regards Gaz |

Hey mate,
here you can find and download drivers for your Motherboard: http://www.asrock.com/mb/download.as...=P4i65PE&s=478 Do you need only sound driver or you need others too??? Go to Device manager and see do you have more then one yellow question mark... You can go to Device manager by right-clicking on 'My Computer' Icon, then choose 'Properties', go to the 'Hardware' tab and choose Device Manager... Or simply click on Start button, click on run.. button and type devmgmt.msc Hope this will help you mate... Tell us about progress...

Thanks again, the sound is back on and I'm currently getting down and dirty to my fave tunes, if we were in a bar you two guys would be drinking the coldest, most expensive beers on offer, you're both stars and I recommend this site to everybody
