Hello, I am maddened by the ba735 speakers
Every where I go they talk about the "issue" of the driver, but no driver.
I need help pleaaassseee.... I am running win xp-pack 2 I have some Boston Acoustic ba735 speakers which are analog, which is my trouble. Being analog there is no usb male, just a reg old speaker jack. Someone please help, my speakers sound awesome (when they work) but now nothing. I upgraded os from 98>XP and Bam!! Hi,
Your post is confusing. Are the Boston BA735's not Digital? http://www.bostonacoustics.com/tec_multimedia_faq.aspx http://support.microsoft.com/kb/302710 |

Re: Hello, I am maddened by the ba735 speakers
Ok, sorry, I messed that up. Its been so long since I've revisited this. Ok, the 1st link is for usb speakers which I dont have. I went to the second one and found a link to correct my advanced options in my volume control, but advanced options is grayed out.
Also I noticed the article speaks of Sound blaster audio cards which I don't have, I have a Creative AudioPCI (ES1371, ES1373)(WDM) sound card |

Re: Hello, I am maddened by the ba735 speakers
It didn't work . Although I had the exact conditions as you somehow it didn't work for me .Prior all I could find was that there was a XP driver for BA 735 that had dual analog/digital functions , that would fix the problem but MSN Support didn't seem to have it and a call to Boston Acoustics got me back to the initial problem of not being able to switch to digital in the XP OS.The search goes on.
Thanks for helping. |

Re: Hello, I am maddened by the ba735 speakers
Hi Pillowflight ,
I have WinXP Pro as you do ,but "you just have to hunt around for the the right place to tell your sound card "Digital Output only." ......... this is the hard part. Can you you guide me to that spot ? Thanks, |

Re: Hello, I am maddened by the ba735 speakers
Thanks for the reply.Unfortunately I have no advanced function to change to DI.
See screen shot attached : ------------------------------------------------------------- I guess since we have different sound cards, how to maneuver to the digital option may be different . Any other suggestions? Thanks ! |

Re: Hello, I am maddened by the ba735 speakers
correra your sound card driver looks generic. You should visit creatives site and use the auto update to get the newest and most up to date drivers. Perhaps your drivers are causing the feature to not be present.
Normally it is in Sound and Audio Devices. In the volume tab select speaker volume. The option should be right there if it is supported by your software and hardware. Last edited by zerofire; 07-29-2009 at 02:12 PM. |

Re: Hello, I am maddened by the ba735 speakers
I have been through all the suggestions you say but it has not helped . What did come up one time was there was a WINPRO X fix ( for the operating system) that provided a Ba735 audio/digital capability to solve this problem , but that to I could not get to the end of.These speakers worked for a very long time but the normal operating system changes ,etc kicked out the digital capability because these speakers are strickly digital .
