OS: Windows Vista Home Premium (32 bit)
|
I am a complete novice when it comes to computers but I like to give it a try and since getting my laptop in December I have wanted to play my old classics in particular, Diablo 2.
Being a Dell laptop it has some pretty basic stuff inside. Vista Home Edition Premium 32 bit, Intel Core 2Duo T7500 @2.2GHz NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GS Card DirectX 10 4GB DDR2 RAM etc. I know Vista doesn't like older games so I have Virtual Machine Run XP Home Edition. Normally that would be it but the trouble with my 8400M is not compatible with 32 bit XP, only 64 bit and works fine with vista seeing as it was made for it. I was wondering... (apart from ripping out the card from a otherwise ok laptop OR not play the game which I REALLY DONT want to do cause, it's diablo we are talking about!) Is there any sort of software that could act as a translator for my card or Is there any alternate drivers that will work instead for the propper driver or Is this completely unfeasible and I am expecting too much? Any and all help is greatly appreciated. Last edited by Brando; 07-06-2008 at 07:57 PM. |
