Acer 3680 laptop w MATSHITA dvd

The dvd/cd player will not work and it is showing error code 39. It is the RAM UJ-850S ATA Device.

Some help getting it to work again would be great. thx

Despite the title of the page, this is also a solution for the Error Code 39.
It involves editing the Registry, so follow the instructions carefully.
