Realtek HD Audio Driver Error
I just build my first computer and I put XP on it and booted it up and everything went well. Once I got everything working I put the driver disk in for my motherboard and started to install all of the necessary drivers for my comp. But once it got to the Realtek High Definition Audio Driver Install it went all the way on the progress bar and then stopped and told me that there was a install failure. So i just figured that maybe the driver install was faulty so I went and downloaded the driver from the Realtek website and the exact same thing happened. What other things could I do?
-Please please help me my computer is beastly but it really needs some sound |

Re: Realtek HD Audio Driver Error
This exact same thing happened to me. My configuration is an ECS GeForce7050M-M motherboard using built in video and 1 GB of memory. Processor is an AMD Athlon 64 Dual Core 5000+ processor. I have a small Western Digital IDE HD (30 GB) I have a firewire card installed as well. I've updated the Nforce drivers, I've reinstalled Windows, I've downloaded 3 different versions of the Realtek audio drivers, nothing has worked. Also, I'm using XP service pack 3. But I tried installing it before adding the service packs and got the same result.
