Realtek Audio Driver Problems
I installed all the drivers on my intel setup disk for my motherboard and all worked perfectly except for my realtek audio driver. I have no idea how to fix it or where to start. I really need some help with this so if you can give me some suggestions that would be great. Thanks

Re: Realtek Audio Driver Problems
Howdy, you didn't say what level of IT skills you have, so I'll assume you are a happy amateur like me. I assume that the soundcard is onboard so a good start would be to uninstall it through device manager, put your driver cd in and reboot, haerdware wizard should find device, tell it to install from a list and point to cd drive. If that doesn't work let me know and we'll try something else.
Have fun! |

Re: Realtek Audio Driver Problems
Hi, download the latest sound drivers from your motherboard manufacturers website.
Uninstall any audio drivers and software you find in Control Panels Add/Remove Programs and uninstall your sound device from Device Manager. Right-click and select uninstall. Restart and cancel Windows looking for drivers etc. It will tell you no drivers have been installed and your hardware may not work properly. Now, run the Realtek Setup. |

Re: Realtek Audio Driver Problems
Sorry for the delay, 1 of my pcs went down big time and bin fixing it all day. Have you been to the realtek website to see if they have a better driver? if it is a soundcard, the drivers are relevant to the o/s not the mobo. Also, go on the net and download "Aida 32"
It is a system analysis tool that should tell you the exact model of soundcard you have, if you can gather as much info as poss and post it here, I'll see what I can find out. |
