Hi,

Here: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/filt...4&submit=Go%21

Install driver #6 first - reboot.
Then install #3.

Re: 2 things...

Well, I did the video driver perfectly. But that was installed before, so never saw a problem there. Heres what happened with the sound drivers installation...

and while this one was up, at the lower corner this was up...

Re: 2 things...

Also, I have been trying to get my sound working, and nothing seems to help. It all started happening once I put in my video card, and it says "Radeon rear output audio." Any way of fixing this either???

Re: 2 things...

What video driver? The onboard video should be disabled if you're using the Radeon.
Is the chipset (SM Bus) driver installed now?
Right click the IDT Audio in Device manager - what's the error code?

Also in Device manager - click View >> Show hidden devices. Does that produce more devices with yellow/red marks?

Re: 2 things...

1. Wrong site with the video driver, been having 2 sites try and help me on this one.

2. Yes it is installed now.

3. This device cannot start. (Code 10)

4. No

And new question coming up.
I'm trying to install my SBLive to get my sound back as said before, and Windows is not finding it. I remember before I took it out of the computer, I uninstalled it from device manager, but now all I see in there is "unknown device" (which I am guessing is it) but the SBLive driver setup cannot find an SBLive in my system...

Re: 2 things...

Make sure the audio has been started by Windows:

Click Start > Run > type services.msc - then click OK.
In the new window - Scroll down to "Windows Audio", right-click on it and select Properties.
Another new window - set the startup type to Automatic, click Apply and then click Start.

Before you can use the Soundblaster - uninstall the IDT Audio software and disable onboard sound in BIOS.

Re: 2 things...

On-board is turned off in BIOS now. Audio is started in Windows. Still no sound. Windows still does not detect the SBLive. It sees it in device manager as unknown device, and I cannot install the drivers for it because they say that I do not have one installed. I will try switching it to a different PCI slot. I'll edit if it does not work.

Re: 2 things...

But, the SB was installed in the screenshot of device manager you posted????
What is it you're trying to achieve?

You shouldn't have the SB and the IDT (onboard) installed at the same time...

Re: 2 things...

I had uninstalled the SBLive since the 1st post. Tried making the IDT on board work. THat I couldn't get working, so now I tried putting the SBLive back in, and Windows does not detect it. It is not the PCI slot making it not work, because when I put my wireless card in that slot it works fine. My main goal right now is to get the SBLive OR on board IDT audio working. I am thinking of just doing a complete reinstall of windows later on today. Maybe that will work?

Re: 2 things...

Could be an IRQ conflict - sound card <<>> video card.
Have a look at: Start > programs > accessories > system tools > system information > hardware resources > conflicts/sharing.

Regarding the onboard sound: http://www.intel.com/support/motherb...tm#driversfail

Re: 2 things...

Looks normal to me.
Have you tried all PCI slots for the SB?

Make sure you have removed all old sound drivers - and the drivers for the onboard video.

What video card did you install? What power supply is in the computer?

Re: 2 things...

To be honest - I think reinstalling XP with the onboard sound disabled would be the best (and maybe only) solution.

Re: 2 things...

You think it would work with just a repair? I really don't want to have to find/download all my drivers AGAIN.

Re: 2 things...

Maybe... To perform a repair install you'll need an XP CD with the same version (Home, Pro) and Service pack.

Re: 2 things...

I don't have an SP3 disk. The only disk I have is the original SP1 disk I've had for a while now. Which yes, I know means, I will have to do ALL the updates again.
