Need Help fixing driver for external cd/dvd.

I have a LiteOn cd/dvd external burner and it was working just fine until today, my computer says it cant recognize the device and when i check it has no idea what the drivers are, the model is a DX-20A3H and I would appreciate if anyone could point me to where i can get the drivers, preferably free. Once again thank you.

Hi,
XP should have the drivers for it.
If it is recognised in Device Manager, uninstall it by right-clicking on the name and selecting Uninstall. Restart and reinstall.

If it is not recognised in Device Manager, switch off the PC, unplug the drive and restart.
Clean your C:Drive, switch off, plug in your drive and restart. Windows should install the drivers automatically.

I am having the same problem. have done two clean installs in the last three days and still no dice. windows says it cannot find any drivers for ths device and the idiots at the manufactures help site can only tell me it sounds like a system problem. no upper and/or lower filters to delete. tried drive on 1 desktop and 2 laptops with same os and service packs, works just fine. why not on mine?

I have uninstalled and reinstalled, and still nothing. Any other suggestions?
