Driver help needed

I have a thinkpad t42 (2373). I wiped the old operating system off of it (Windows professional) and installed windows xp. When I go into device manager there are yellow "?!" next to ethernet controller, multimedia audio controller, network controller, pci modem, sm bus controller, (USB) controller, and unknown device. I tried downloading the drivers for the ethernet and modem. still nothing... Any sugestions or idea what I need to do?

Re: Driver help needed

Hi, you should always install the Chipset Drivers first....all available driver and software downloads are available here......uninstall the drivers that are failing to work, and install/reinstall the Chipset drivers. Then install the others.

When you say the old operating system was "Windows Professional", what version of Windows are you referring to? Windows 2000?
What version of XP are you using? XP Home Edition, XP Music Centre Edition or XP Professional?
Do you have XP Service Pack 2 installed? If not, it's available for download from numerous places online.
