Updating Drivers

Hi,
I think I need to update the drivers for my display card.This is a Nvidia Geforce FX 56XT. I have looked at the Nvidia website for this and am rather confused as to how I go about this,I am also a little apprehensive about doing it. Could you please give me some advice as to the best way to go about this please? Is this card well out of date? The details I got from dxdiag are Main driver: nv4_disp.dll
Version 6.14.0010.5673
Date 4.8 2004

That date looks stoneage to me.
