Cry graphics driver or virus?

my computer screen keeps going blank ,but only when im using autocad,
all other programs are fine. Is it a graphics card problem. Also when I start autocad I get 'fatal error' message. Or is it a virus? I M running nod 32 antivirus.

Re: graphics driver or virus?

Hi Paddyo,
It could be you graphics card, but from what I understand of CAD it could also be insufficient memory or lack of hard drive space.
If it was a virus i'm sure all your programs would be affected.
Could you please give exact details of the Fatal Error, they usually have an Error number.
And post details of the specifications of your pc, including power supply.
Cheers.

Re: graphics driver or virus?

Specially the final paragraph.........
I have found a easy resolution to this problem by simply uninstalling all subsequent .Net Framework updates after Version 1.1 Hotfix (IN REVERSE ORDER), and then re-installing the latest version of .Net Framework. I have had no further problems with this Fatal Error at the startup of Land Desktop 2006 or Civil 3D 2006 since I applied this fix on my system.
