Re: Update drivers on XP

See this for a definition of Drivers http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Device_driver

You do not normally need to update drivers unless the current ones are not working properly. With Video cards, newer drivers will generally improve performance, but that is not necessarily true for other drivers.

The current drivers should be available on the PC manufacturers support site, or from the manufacturer of the specific device

Re: Update drivers on XP

I recently reinstalled winXP. I did a scan with DriverMax and it shows the drivers which I need to update.

Do u recommend that I update my drivers in this way? I tried using my Asus motherboard disc and device manager but it shows that all drivers are up to date.

Re: Update drivers on XP

I do not use HS like DriverMax . . they seem to always reccomend updateing ( usually buiying ) drivers which are both current and free from the manufacturer.

Are you having a problem you want to fix?

If you need an updated driver, I would get it from Asus
