usb device not recognized

I run xp with just downloaded sp3, after the message "usb device not recognized." I am trying to hook up my new mp3 player coby mp345 to the comp. using the usb but am getting the message usb device not recognized. I use the same usb slot for my digital camera and that works just fine. Thanks for your help.

Re: usb device not recognized

HI,
It's best to use different usb's for each peripheral............if you're short of usb slots, buy an adaptor.
Now, did this work before the upgrade to SP3?

Re: usb device not recognized

Do you have a different usb slot to try it in?
I have the same experiences..........if i unplug my usb scanner and plug in my webcam, it will not work.
