USB type

I am trying to define my PC USB port type; either 2.0 or other. It is defined as 5.1.26000.0 dated about 7/1/00. I would like to buy an ipod nano which works with USB 2.0 and win xp sp2. I have only sp1. Appreciate any advice to a novice. Thanks, bernsjo

Re: USB type

Hi,
Welcome to TSF.
What is the make and model of the PC?
If this is a desktop you could always add a USB 2.0 PCI card. A Laptop you could use a PCMCIA USB 2.0 Card. Most USB 2.0 devices will clock down to the slower USB 1.0.
You should also upgrade your XP Pro to SP2.
Thanks
Bill
