Re: Weird problems

I bought this baby about a year ago..and the prblems started the day i bought it..my 1st problem is, the volume for the speaker must be cntrolled in and odd way; through the 'wave' controller, and not from the 'master volume'..i've tried to mute everything, but it's not working..then i tried to lower down the wave level, and surprisingly it work, and the only method i confėgured to control the sound until now..i installed conexant HD sound driver..i've tried reinstallin it..but it stays the same..it's really pissin me off..bcause one of the factor why i chose this model was the branded speaker..but now it's not serving me..this's juz one of the prblms..

Re: Weird problems

Another problem is the quick launch buttons..mark my word this isn't a normal problem..i can turn on the laptop using the media button!i only knew about it last week...and,bcause of the volume control problem, the quick launch button are almost useless,(it stil can turn on my laptop though:-P)..when i press the mute button,it shows there on the screen the mute sign, but the speaker's stil crying out loud..i'm blurr now of what to do..i consult some technicians, but it turns out they asked me more than i should ask them...i really2 hope that experts in this forum can solve them for me..tq

Re: Weird problems

Try this driver for the sound issue:
F700 sound & mic -= WORKING=-
Do as "erlise" states in the first post.
I know you have a different model but it should work.
Let us know how you make out.
Thanks,
Bill

Re: Weird problems

Hi,
Go to the unknown device and right click on the device. Select Properties>Driver Details.
There should be a PCI/VEN number.
Please Post the what it says in Driver Details.
Glad you got the sound working

Re: Weird problems

In the details (Driver) the numbers will indicate what the PCI Device (PCI) is and the Vendor of the device (VEN). From these numbers it will help us identify the device.
Here is a example of what I am looking for:

Re: Weird problems

Hi,
I believe the unknown device is your Quick Launch Button.
Try this driver:

Let us know how you make out.
