Downgrading to XP - drivers needed

I have a HP Pavilion a6485l Desktop PC and can't find all of the drivers for installing XP. Device manager shows Ethernet controller, PCI simple communications controller and SM bus controller are not installed. I thought the ethernet controller was NVIDIA but the drivers won't install. I read somewhere that the SM bus needs to be installed first before it can recognise the ethernet controller. Any idea where I can obtain these? (only Vista drivers are on the HP site). Thanks.

Re: Downgrading to XP - drivers needed

Hi Metice,
Welcome to TSF.
Have you tried this driver:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_163.75.html
This should get most of your problems solved.
Please be sure to do a full Microsoft Update
Please post back with any other errors in the device manager.
Hope this helps,
Bill

Re: Downgrading to XP - drivers needed

Hi metice,
I think i was rushing and gave you the graphics driver in my first post.
This is the Chipset driver:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_...nxp_16.08.html
The graphics driver here:
http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_163.75.html
Let us know how it goes.
Thanks,
Bill
