hi all i am in desperate need of advice and emplore you all to help me :)

i recently bought a new laptop so i could start gigging with my electronica that i write. i use ableton live and that seems to have installed fine with no problems. i tried to install my usb midi controller, a Korg Kontrol49 and have encountered problems immediately. The device appears in my control panel but with a yellow exclamation flag next to it. Now i have gone to the Korg website and downloaded the drivers for my device, but it still wont work. if i let windows search the web automatically for an updated driver it tells me i already have the latest one. After a little tinkering, i got a message that said the driver has had trouble loading properly. when i try to update the driver manually, this is what happens:

Update Driver Software - KONTROL49

Windows encountered a problem installing the driver software for your device.

Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while attempting to install it.

USB Audio Device

This device canot start. (Code 10)

If you know the manufacturer of your device, you can visit its webseite and check the support section for driver sodtware.

very annoying as you can imagine.

some extra info for you, my laptop is an Acer Aspire 9920
intel Core 2 Duo CPU T7700@ 2.40GHz
3070 MB RAM
Windows Vista Ultimate 32-bit Operating system

the properties for the Kontrol 49 in my control panel are as follows:
Device type : Sound, video and game controllers
Manufacturer: (Generic USB Audio)
Location: Port_#0001.Hub_#0005
Device status: This device cannot start. (Code 10)

please help i really am at my wits end!

ok im not sure what i did but the kontrol 49 is now working perfectly, i am sorry if i wasted anyones time, but cheers anyway :D
