comp cant read cd!!

when i pop in a cd into my computer and it goes in..
after a couple like...20 seconds, the computer just shoots the cd back out.
what should i do?

HI,
if this happens with every cd, then i'd suggest you buy a new cd player......................but first, go into Device Manager, right-click on the cd drive and select uninstall. Let it uninstall itself, then restart your pc. Windows will load up drivers for it, so you don't need to do anything. Once it's done doing that, try a cd.............if it still spits it out................buy yourself a dvd player.
