[SOLVED] Sound Problem

hi guyz, i m writing this beacause i really tired of searching all over the web for drivers without success, i formated my PC and i have no sound at all now, and i really hope you can help me, here is a lot of information about my pc but please, i really need help:

My PC INFORMATIONS:

operating system Microsoft Windows XP Professional
Service Pack Service Pack 2
DirectX 4.09.00.0904 (DirectX 9.0c)


mother board
processor Intel Pentium 4 520, 2800 MHz (14 x 200)
mother board name Hewlett-Packard HP Compaq dc7100 CMT(PK071PA)
Chipset of the mother board Intel Grantsdale-G i915G
system memory247 Mo (PC3200 DDR SDRAM)
BIOS Compaq (06/16/04)
Port de communication Communications Port (COM1)

after formating did you run your m/b setup cd

thank you , i did'not install the software you re saying but somebody gave me an answer on This forum

the software i had to install was actually :

ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp36001-36500/sp36228.exe
