[SOLVED] Looking for Ethernet Controller driver for noteboook

Hi,
Same old story reformatted laptop -> XP -> can't connect to internet -> Ethernet Controller and Network Controller under Device Manager both have yellow triangle and ?.

Tried the following drivers from Acer website still no luck:
Broadcom 4401 10/100 LAN Driver
Broadcom 5788M Giga LAN Driver
Ambit 802.11 b/g wireless Driver
Intel 802.11b+g wireless Driver
Modem Driver

I might be able to find the correct one if I knew the name of my network card but I don't : /

If you go to the website of the company that made your laptop you should be able to find both the name of the card as well as the driver itself.

Tried it already, said so in first post. No luck.

Guess I forgot to say what my laptop is: Acer Aspire 1680.

Found it. Apparently there are two different drivers for each hardware piece for the Acer Aspire 1680 where I can only assume that they switched manufacturers halfway in production or whatnot. So with a total of 4 network adapter drivers and a modem driver I just tried them all one by one installing/uninstalling and one of them finally worked.
