Panasonic CF-71 Toughbook with sound problem….

I bought this computer used a few years ago. I was using it to run a CNC router so I didn’t mind that the sound didn’t work. I want to use it for other things and would like to get the sound working if possible. Here is some information about the computer from the original owner -

“I finally have Windows 98SE on the laptop. Found out it had a USB port after all (one USB port). Am using that for the mouse and it will boot with a mouse plugged into the USB port so I'll send you a USB mouse.
The sound card if giving me fits. It is not the drivers Panasonic says it is and all the 'mentions' I can find on the Internet - well, it's not those either. I'm going to look at work and see what the drivers are. Can't remember if they even had sound running on the ones at work…”

“Sorry it took so long and that it doesn't have sound. If you really, really wanted sound you might find a USB sound 'box' but you'd need a USB hub so that you could use the mouse at the same time.”

Please let me know what I can do to get the sound working.
