Re: driver for xp realtek sound card install

There was no sound with XP, XP sp2, and now as XP sp3. Do you think that maybe if I go back to XP sp0 and put the sound drivers on it would have sound? Do you think if I get sound out of XP sp0 and then put sp3 on it will kill my sound? Maybe I should turn off system restore and apply the drivers?

Have a look in Device manager and see if there is any yellow or red exclamation marks against the sound card.
If there is none go to control Panel and open up your sound settings and see if anything is muted
