My Keyboard

My tower fell over i picked it up right away and then it seemed fine at the time i came back larter and it was making a high pitched noise and i wasnt able to log out so i shut it off now my keyboard will not work. I had this problem with my mouse before and i plugged it in to a usb port and it worked but my keyboard i will have to buy an adapter and i dont have a store nearby is there a way where i can fix my computer so it works in its apropiate spot?
