I reinstalled XP on my inspiron 6000 and am having troubles loading drivers. I am on the Dell website trying to get my ethernet/wireless drivers installed so I can get on the internet with the laptop to do the rest. when trying to install those specific drivers it pops up a window saying 'this self-extracting zip fiel is part of a multidisk zip file. Please insert the last disk of the set.'....what do I do? How do I get my wireless or ethernet working so I can get online?
THank in advance |

Re: Driver help please! Inspiron 6000 [Moved from XP]
Hi,
Welcome to TSF. First go here and input your service tag #: http://support.dell.com/support/topi...n&lnki=0&s=gen From this go to the ORIGINAL configuration to find exactly what was installed from the factory. Then go here to find the drivers: http://support.dell.com/support/down...WW1&hidlang=en Be sure to install the Chipset driver first as the will control how the other drivers will be installed. let us know how you make out. Thanks, Bill |
