My DVD drive wont read disks any more

The exact same thing is happening to me except my drives have been playing these games for the last 2 years. I have been playing the same copies of medieval 2 total war and HL2 and Crysis since I first bought them and they suddenly stopped working in and around January. It plays pc-cds ok though...
