Base redirection: Creative X-FI Xtreme Audio
Dear Sir/Madam,
I have bought the Creative X-FI Xtreme Audio Model no: SB0790 With all 5.1 speaker sets I have tried, I have a lot of base. Because this card is a BULK card I can't install the retail software for the Creative X-FI Xtreme Audio (Error no supported hardware found) At this moment I can only use the simple Creative Audio Console driver from the Creative website. But with this driver I can not set base redirect or something to reduce the base. When my subwoofers base is off I still get lot a base true my subwoofer. Anyone knows how to fix this base redirection with a software tool or a register edit? I need to set base redirect on to fix this problem I think, but I don’t know how. Thank you!! KevinS |

Re: Base redirection: Creative X-FI Xtreme Audio
Did you check the Creative site? Did you download this file:
XFXA_PCDRV_LB_1_04_0078.exe File link here: http://ccftp.creative.com/manualdn/D..._1_04_0078.exe Files Size = 40.7 MB - - Date = 4 October 2007 Is the above file the one you attempted to install? Bill |

Re: Base redirection: Creative X-FI Xtreme Audio
Yes, that's the same file I have installed on my computer. (Downloaded and installed it again) With this installer I get the simple Creative Audio Console. But the Creative card gives lots and lots of base to any 5.1 speaker set I connect tot the Creative Card.
I need an option for Base redirection but this option is not in the Creative Audio Console.. So is there any tool to get less base of get base redirection? Or maybe this can be solved by setting base redirection on via the regedit. As I said I have tried all cd's from creative but none would install because this is a bulk and not a retail sound card. Hope to hear from you soon! Thank you! |

What is the EXACT name of the software you wish to install? maybe I can find a separate copy and we can see if that will work any better. No bets or guarantees on that though. HTH Bill |
