Sound and Display driver help :(

Ok so heres the deal. I own a HP Pavilion dv6748, labeled as a dv6000. It came with vista, but well i hate vista. So i uninstalled it and reinstalled windows xp pro. My problem is now that several of the drivers for some of the parts in my laptop are vista only....so now for instance i dont have sound and my display driver is wrong making the internet browsers very choppy and slow when scrolling. Those are the two that i have found so far that arnt working.

My sound card is Conexant High Def AudioSmart 221
My Display is NVIDIA MCP67M

are there compatible drivers for these two that run on windows xp? or any other solutions you may have for me? I have been trying for about 2 days and found nothing.

Thank You :D

Could you be a little more precise on the dv6748 part, i.e. what are the two letters following this number. There are 6 sub models of this machine.

It's been reported, that for your model the drivers, for AUDIO, on this page will work with your Model (DV6748US):

http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/s...180330&lang=en

This driver, also, works on a number of other Compaq and HP models. BEFORE you install check your Device Manager and see if you have the UAA driver from Microsoft. If it's there? Then give the above Audio Driver on that page a try. IF NOT? Then install the UAA driver listed on that page FIRST, BEFORE you install the Sound driver. Reboot between the UAA installation and the Audio Driver installation.

Your Video drivers can be found on this page at Nvidia:
