"driver is using excessive PTE's"
pc fine with any other software.

Have re-installed countless times with no improvement, have used Pinnacle "regdelete" to clear registry prior tore-install.
have downloaded latest nvidea driver

Any ideas appreciated, can't edit xmas video until sorted.

Re: Videoport.sys

Hi Deskeech,
Welcome to TSF.
Have you installed the patches from Pinnacle to see if it resolves your issue:
http://www.pinnaclesys.com/PublicSit...mode=documents
I am not the pro on this one, but the patches may resolve it.
Hope this helps.
Let us know.
Thanks,
Bill

Re: Videoport.sys

Thanks for that, Yes have tried both full patch and light version still no good. I think it's centered around the videoport.sys driver rather than pinnacle, it's just that video editing is memeory and video hungry, problem is I've run the system fine for about two years but hadn't run it for about 9 months in which time i've loaded allsorts of programs etc and can't get back to how sytem was with restore.

Hi,
Here is a link that may help you:

This is for info only. I am unsure this will resolve your issue.
Are you getting a BSOD error. If so please post to thread exactly the BSOD error.
Thanks,
Bill

Re: Videoport.sys

Hi Bill,
Thanks for the link, seems to have sorted it out by following the article on PTE's and altering memory manager settings in Registry.

Many thanks, can get on with editing now.
