Need NIC Driver for HP m7183c

Hello,

I desperately need a ethernet controller driver for an HP Media Center m7183c.

The HP site has every driver under the sun for this PC except for the NIC.

Can anyone help me find this driver? I'm desperate.

Hi Bill,

I downloaded the driver, and ran it, but before it could finish I got this message:

Cannot install driver(s). No Intel(R) PRO adapters are present on this computer.

I guess it's not the right driver?

Your report is corrupted. Please try it again and resubmit it.
I would also like you to go into the BIOS and make sure that the ONBOARD LAN is enabled.

Onboard LAN = ENABLED
Onboard LAN Boot ... = DISABLED

PC Wizard file was attached as text last time - but was unreadable. This time I tried HTML, but it said "invalid format" and wouldn't upload, although I could open the file and read it just fine. Which format should I use? There are a half-dozen.

I can tell you that the "network" portion of the scan came back as:

INTEL 82801gb. I couldn't find any network drivers for that model number at Intel's site.

I only have a couple of hours in the morning before I have to leave, so hopefully you'll be on at around 9 or 10 am pst, otherwise I guess I'm out of luck.

Try copying and paste it to Notepad.
Also, can you post a screen shot of the device manager with all the + opened.

That screenshot indicates you have not yet loaded the Chipset Driver. That shoud take care of most of the devices that need drivers.

Simpswr is correct you need to install the chipset driver.
You have an Intel 945P Chip Set

It is 5th on the list

I loaded the chipset driver and nothing changed. The device manager looks exactly the time.

Okay Bccomp, I'm still not sure what "report" you're asking for in PC Wizard. I'm just learning the program, but basically all I can do in there is click on various icons to see what's inside the PC. I've gone through the menu options, and I don't see anything about a "report" that I can generate. I'm including 2 .jpg screenshots of PCWizard.

Also included is the latest screenshot of the DevMgr. I was able to find drivers for a couple of the items.

By the way, when I follow the link for the chipset, I'm given the option to choose an O/S. I've tried both XP Home and XP Media Center Edition - same result. Also, on the actual "download" page, it's a bit confusing. There are actually 6 available downloads. I've downloaded the top 2.
